Unfortunately calving isn't always the hardest part of our year when it comes to the cows. In the past 2 days we've lost 2 calves to some unknown cause. We have one more that is currently sick, and all we can do is treat it and hope to god that whatever it has can be fixed with antibiotics. It is not common to have seemly healthy calves die out of nowhere, and we're starting to fear that we have an epidemic on our hands. Today Lance found one of the 2 being eaten alive by birds and had to put the poor thing out of it's misery so he has been pretty depressed today. I would appreciate any vibes we can get!
