Dear coworker,
Thank you SO MUCH for coming in sick and hacking all over our work area. Now I'm not feeling well. If I miss my 10K on Sunday, I blame you.
You suck.
Your coworker

Dear self,
Get your shiit together. Stop hitting snooze in the morning. I know it's scary that you're all wheezy and asthmatic, but if you take your damn inhaler you'll be fine at CrossFit. Next week you are going at least three times and that is final.
Love,
Self

Dear Self,
Please get it together. You are driving me crazy.
Please start to enjoy running in the morning, because running after work will probably be the death of you.

Dear Nighttime Self,
Please make more of an effort to go to bed earlier. You don't need to throw in that last load of laundry each night, I promise you that it can wait. While I'm enjoying getting my workouts done first thing in the morning, these 5am wake ups are killing me. I can only drink so much of our crappy work coffee.
Love,
Daytime Self
Dear Cold-
Please go away! I've patiently suffered through you for a week now, & I'm starting to panic. My half is next weekend, & I still feel like crap. Plusalsonow I'm coughing. Seriously - go away!
Thanks,
Snotty & Stuffy
Dear self,
I'm really proud of you. You didn't skip a single 5 AM work out and your eating was pretty in line this week. Now just make sure you get that run in tomorrow before you get too busy to think.
Love,
Me
Dear Weekend,
I thought you were supposed to be relaxing but you're packed. My calendar had better be clear on the 12th and 13th or I will be pissed.
Signed,
Already tired from work, forget about life
Dear self,
I am really proud of the progress you've made in the last month. You finally kicked your fear of pushing the limits with your TOS, and you succeeded. I am exciting to see where we go from here!
Love,
No Longer Afraid
Dear Work,
I'm over you. I cannot wait until I can start a new position in October and no longer have to deal with a two hour commute every day or the politics that plague this inferno. From now until then, I will have a not my problem stress free attitude because I am ready to peace out!
Love,
Care Free
Dear muddy, muddy trail:
We had an awesome morning together after last night's rainstorm. Finding little streams and waterfalls where just yesterday there was mud and muck was pretty fun. I loved having to climb over some downed trees to cross parts of the path that had been swallowed up by the river. Even falling on the makeshift stairs and getting absolutely covered in muck was fun in its own way. I seriously felt like I was ten years old again.
Let's not lose touch.
Dear Self,
Being sore is good. I promise. I know it sucks to walk around today, but you need to keep up the weight lifting. I'm not going to buy you new, bigger pants. The one's you have are a little tight, yes, but there isn't money for pants right now. Get your sh!t together and fit back into those pants.
Also, say "NO" to crappy desserts and lunch today (it's ok to say "yes" if one is homemade, but just say no to the crappy store bought cookies! They are not worth it)
Signed,
Brain

Dear PI bossman,
So, you're leaving (possibly. probably.) the lab for another institution. With a year to go in my PhD program.
::thousand yard stare::
I'm going to go hide in my happy place, with a margarita, until you tell me to come out because everything's okay.

Dear Cardiologist in Maine,
Oh yeah hi, I thought I'd introduce myself before I meet you on Monday. Actually, it's more of a warning. Because I am not leaving your office to get back on a plane until EVERY.LAST.ONE. of my questions regarding DH's issue are answered to my satisfaction.
Looking forward to spending the day together,
MP
Dear Running Legs,
Yes, we are stressed out. No, we're not following our 10k program verbatim anymore. But that's not a good enough reasoning to throw a tantrum on me like you did this week. Saddle up Cupcakes, we're in for some long hauls in the next few weeks.
Love,
MP
Dear DD's
I love you both very much and don't mind waking up and cuddling you back to sleep but could you guys please do it on different nights. Mommy needs more then 3 hours of sleep to function. This is also suppose to be a month of no excuses and it's really messing up my plan.
Love you Mommy
Dear 150lb self,
See ya! Now that I finally saw 145 on the scale after months of effort I hope to not see you again until I have a baby in my belly. It was nice knowing you but I'm so, so happy our time together is through!
Love,
Miss 145lb!
Dear Miss 145lb self,

Dear final paper,
Please write yourself... or at least give me some inspiration to knock you out. You're the last thing standing between me and summer break... well, a mini break until summer classes start in June,

Dear self,
Never run in cotton socks again. Ever. Even if all your other running socks are in the hamper. It's not worth getting blisters.
