What are those awesome hangers

that are slim and make a closet look much neater with more space?

My closet desperately needs help! Every time I go in there I get a little stressed.. haha. too cluttered looking!

Re: What are those awesome hangers

  • Huggable Hangers.  I just bought some and they really are amazing.  I just don't know what to do with my old hangers. image
  • Thank you! Where can you get them in person? or do I have to order online?
  • I got mine at the Container Store.

315--are the hangers narrow in the shoulder area?  I need hangers that don't leave stretch marks in the shoulders of my shirts and sweaters.  Is one style of hanger more narrow than the other?  Thanks!

I usually buy mine at Target but I saw Costco had them for a great deal too.

No, that's the beauty of the round shape. The shoulders of my shirts hang such that there aren't any indents. I can take and post a photo if you would like.

Helene, see this makes me really jealous. I looked at our Costco for months when I heard they had them at some. Nope, not at the one in Rego Park. Boo.

Yes, if you don't mind.  Which color did you pick? The flocking does not come off or stain clothing, I hope.
  • I've found that Costco (30 for $10) and TJMaxx/Marshall's (12 or 15 for $5) have the best prices on these types of hangers.  I don't remember what the price was at Target but I remember thinking it was quite a bit pricier maybe ($5 for 6 or 8 hangers?)

I got dark brown b/c I still haven't completely phased out my dark wood hangers and I liked that they kind of blended with my wood ones.

He doesn't like how they "stick to his clothes" he says. Um. That's kind of the point lol. It's more personal preference. He uses the basic white ones with the notches.

I got the platinum ones shown above. No staining. I'll take a photo later when I'm on a break. No problem.

  • I got a box of 50 at BB&B for $29.  They are great!  I got them as I was sick of everything sliding off my hangars.
  • I just got a pack of 40 for $20 at BJs Wholesale if you have one near you!

I love Huggable Hangers and have them in all my closets. I order mine from HSN. They have tons of colors available.
  • Good will shops and salvation army's like old (working) hangers that they can use for display.

My DH kept breaking them and declared them crap. Apparently he likes to pull his clothes off the hanger instead of taking the hanger from the closet and removing the clothing. I have banned him from using them.

I got a giant box of them at Costco and a smaller quantity at Home Goods.

  • I got mine at TJ Maxx.  I have black, gray, and pink.  I've never had issues with the color rubbing off onto the clothes.  I love to use them to pack garment bags since you can fit more items with how flat they are and they don't stretch clothes.

Yes. I love them for my horseback riding show clothes garment bag for this reason.

  • For those of us who have a boat load of clothes I recommend the 50 pks or 100 pks sold at Kohls or BB&B. I will not not confess as to how many boxes I have bought :-0

I freecycled a bunch of old hangers when I moved my clothes over to the slim ones.  I had several responses.
