The "friend" update? DD?

Did someone say something to make her DD?  I'm wondering because while I was trying to stay calm to her update, I had a few choice things to say.  But now it's gone....

Re: The "friend" update? DD?

  • Yep. I had typed a response too, only to find the thread deleted. I'm annoyed. The original is gone also.

  • So, annoying. And (again!) it happened just as I was trying to post so it bounced me from the site.
My darling daughter just turned 4 years old.
  • No one had responded and I didn't know anyone was "about to respond". I deleted because I know she uses internet a lot and I didn't want her to see the post incase she goes to this site (she does do a lot of research and such). Im sorry I think a part of me thought it was stupid and should just stop stressing or being annoyed by it.

  • Bish - I'm just going to say this - based on your update, my sympathy for you plummeted.

She has a sick child. I dealt with a sick child, and it was ultimately over what is a very manageable and "not serious" issue. Her child isn't even at home - I don't know what is wrong, but I can't even begin to imagine what she is dealing w/ when she can't be w/ her sick child 24/7. I can't even begin to imagine.

And you're upset she won't come to your house for coffee.

Seriously - think about it.  A lot.

  • This was still on my browser:

I think you are handling it just right. You spoke the tuth, and it seems with a good deal of honesty and warmth.

Based on what you've said, I don't think its realistic to expect her to change. She had a long/late night out so she then crashed the next day. And yes, she chose that over hanging with you. I highly doubt she thought should I spend hours with my good friend OR at this BBQ - she sounds much too disorganized for that. If you're waiting for her to have time for you, you're going to be diappointed. This is how she manages her life.

But yeah, there is enough there to give her a break about it. Her child is sick and out of the home.
