to my girls who use liquid foundation and sponges

PLEASE stop using sponges!!!!

I see girls using sponges all the time with their liquid foundations. Go get a  foundation brush so you can save your foundation (30% when using a brush vs sponge) and your money!!! It is better for the skin and no messy fingers after your foundation is applied!!! All you have to do is wash it with soap and water when your done.

If you cannot afford a brush then use your fingers, just don't use a sponge!

All the cosmetic counters have them just find one you like with a long life... I know my is good for 6 years!!!

Re: to my girls who use liquid foundation and sponges

  • I personally hate foundation brushes. I own two expensive ones and both leave my face streaky, even after spending twice as much time applying it as I do with my fingers.

  • I've only tried using a brush for foundation once, but I hated it.  It was just difficult to apply and blend in.  I've used sponges in the past, but I typically just use my fingers and it works just fine.  I wipe them with a baby wipe right after, which seems like less of a pain than cleaning out a brush.
  • I get the best coverage when I use a brush, but it definitely takes getting used to. I hate using my fingers now. It just feels so gross, and I have to use so much more product to get the coverage I want. I've never been into sponges. They also gross me out.

  • I have several foundation brushes from high end to drugstore but I have to tell you that for my skin nothing beats the application from the beauty blender sponge.  I use the same amount of pumps with BB sponge or with brush.
  • what Fuzzypeaches, Dawgs, and shoegal said. I use BB cream most days and I use my fingers then, but when I use foundation, it's Smashbox HD with a beautyblender. I effing hate foundation brushes.

  • I despise foundation brushes, and I also have tried several. I like the beauty blender and I apply the same amount of foundation with that as the brush or my fingers.

Same here. I've never been pleased with any foundation brush I've tried. I love my beauty blender!
