Gah. Closing pushed back.
Wells Fargo is having trouble processing our buyers loan app because they cannot find a Chinese interpreter. (they speak no English and cannot explain where their down payment money came from). So, looks like 5/23 Is off and we are pushing back till 6/1.
Our sellers are going to be furious. Should be interesting.

That's annoying,sorry to hear it. It's so frustrating to have SO MANY moving pieces that are all so inter-dependent on each other.
Our closing also got pushed except for no good reason other than when our bank SAID our loan was sent to underwriting a few weeks ago, they were actually just sitting on it. After a few days of our various contacts (and their managers) telling us confliting things, we moved from 5/4 to 5/9. They'd better make it in time because we have to be out of our place by end of the day on the 13th!

Sorry to hear that. Are you buying as well (and if so, I hope they are ok with a later close date and that no conflicts arise from that!)
We are in the process of buying and selling and trying to get the two to match up so that we don't have to rent for any length of time could prove impossible.
BTW lmb - you probably don't remember me at all, but I just wanted to say hello... I remember you from 2004... we have the same wedding date! I've changed my name a few times on here but I used to be j-a-n-3-1-bride (except no dashes when that was my name... just don't want it to come up if anyone searches that screenname on google!) We are buying and hoping to close on the same day. Our realtor hasn't broken the news to their realtor yet and we dont expect that conversation to go very well. The only thing that might make it work out is that they are building and will be moving into temporary housing anyway.
Ha! How funny is that, an old date twin meeting up again! I think your old name does ring a bell. Wow, isn't it crazy how the time flies, married 8 years already!
