As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Basically you can click on someone's profile and like it on FB, tweet it, or add it to Goggle +. If you like someone's profile it will apparently share that persons first name and a direct link to her profile.
Maybe it's time we start using the PRIVATE FB group again? This whole social media/TN thing is creepy and frankly making me angry.

When I went back to it it said only those asked to be members would be members? I'm the original admin on that group, someone tell me if you can see the page and post on it, etc.

I can see it as a closed group, with one member S______ H_________, who is an administrator. There is also a link to ask to join the group.
One of the other boards has a closed FB group, and I know to add new people, the group has to be temporarily public, the new person added and then it's reset to closed -- so it's a carefully co-ordinated effort when new members are added. I'm not an administrator, I just know that alerts are posted on the group wall when they are going to open the group to add new members.
I'm down for going back to fb, too!
I just requested to join! Although I could SWEAR I was a member before???

You were! When FB switched to the new format, it wiped out all the group members except for the admim, which is me. I approved you and anyone who wants to be added can request to join and I'll add you. I don't have to make the group public for that.
