Maternity Clothes After Pregnancy

Is it wrong to wear Maternity clothes after pregnancy, even if they fit right? What if they feel comfortable and you can't tell they are maternity?

Re: Maternity Clothes After Pregnancy

  • How long after pregnancy? I had a few wrap style maternity/nursing tops I wore, They were a bit big but helped for nursing. I also had a black maternity skirt I wore for a few months because it didn't look maternity and had the under belly band.

  • I wore them until I was back to my normal shape (more or less a few weeks after birth). Then I got rid of them because I just couldn't stand looking at them anymore.
A big old middle finger to you, stupid Nest.
  • It depends. I have a top and a sundress I really like that don't look like maternity clothes that I plan to continue wearing. Other than those two items I packed all the other clothes away.
  • I still wear these yoga style maternity pants, 15 months later LOL! They are some damn comfy FI thinks I'm nuts. But that's it, I didn't really buy that much maternity stuff, I just brought bigger sized clothes.

  • I retired all the maternity clothes when I went back to work at 3mos post partum.  I was just sick of empire waist tops and dresses.  I don't think it matters as much for pants since the panels and stretchy waistbands would be hidden by whatever shirt you're wearing.

  • No its not wrong. sometimes those fit better the first month. Personally, I wanted to burn my maternity clothes after  DD2. I was back in my normal jeans 3 days after she was born. LOL With a baggy top to hide the jello belly.
