Random: guess I'm joining the tin foil email list...
After a good year and a half or two year stint of not getting crazy emails from my mom, she's starting back up again, but this time with the latest conspiracy theory du jour. She told me a while back she "doesn't believe in conspiracy theories, just conspiracies" and reads prisonplanet and other... um... not-conspiracy-theories-just-conspiracies websites? I've been hearing about Agenda 21, the bill that's going to kill off farmers markets and private backyard gardens, and last night I got the one about how Obamacare is going to make us all get implanted with RFID tags so we can be tracked and info collected on us.
It's false, natch, and the bill in question was talking about things like pacemakers and a registry to track effectiveness, etc.
So I sent her back a recent alternet article on atheism and if atheists should play nice with the religious or be all out snarky and said that things like religion and political office and social issues like gay marriage should not be solved based on religious text but on human rationality. We'll see where that gets me. 
Anyone else have a good email fwd story or story about any response you sent back? I wish they made purple tin foil, I would so fashion a hat out of it.
