Hey, look what I made! ***NOT A BABY***

I'm a sewing machine genius you guys! I took your advice, and just borrowed a sewing machine from a friend, and had another friend come over to give me a quick tutorial on how to use it. And I made 3 boppy covers today.
Now I want to buy a sewing machine.

Re: Hey, look what I made! ***NOT A BABY***
I thought this was going to be a baby post. MISLEADING TITLE.
But very cute cover!
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
ME TOO! Who cares about a boppy cover*?
*It's cute and all.

I suppose so, but really you COULD have that baby any day now. Eeep! (or you know, a month from now)
Nice work! You should totally buy a sewing machine and learn to sew in all that free time you're about to have once you give birth.
I want to learn how to sew too, but I am the worst at straight lines. I think that's really important when you sew, so I suspect my money would be better spent paying someone to sew me stuff instead of buying my own machine.

That is adorable. I totally support your wish for a sewing machine. I got mine about 6 months ago and I use it all the time. I find it so relaxing.
And Cali, straight lines are kindof hard to mess up. The machine does all the work for you. Get one! I think everyone should sew. I wish I had started years ago.

Straight lines are easy! Get geometric fabric and you can't lose.
I was supposed to make you some pillows wasn't I? Oops.
Great job, Boxer! Seriously, it looks awesome.

I can't believe how quickly it's coming up! I actually started timing contractions for a little while yesterday, but then they tapered off. If this lasts for another month, I may lose it.
Cali, I also have difficulty with straight lines also, but the sewing machine really does make it easy. You should get one.
Duckis have you had time to use yours during newborn craziness? I think I might ask for one for Christmas. Hopefully I'll have gotten my sh!t together by then.

I take a class once a month. So up until last week that was the only sewing I did. But it was still really nice to have that evening to look forward to. I finally have enough of the house unpacked/set up that I have time and space to sew at home, so I've done a few things over the last several days. I seriously love sewing it and find it so relaxing. I would spend all my free time on it if I could.

You made me laugh at that one.
Seriously thought, you can pay me to sew for you - I like to do it. And I am good at it too.
Random Straight Line Tip: take a rubber band and put it around the sleeve holder to have a guide if your fabric is cut straight.

BUY ONE!
Interestingly enough, I've gotten a shitton of sewing done since I had my baby. He's three months old and just this past week, I've been kicking ass and taking names in the sewing department.
The housecleaning department is just as sad and pathetic by comparison lol
