Good Morning

Good morning ladies.

What an exciting weekend, as we all waited for Baby Raynes to be born.

My weekend otherwise was a good one.  I brought the boys for much needed haircuts Saturday, and I realize looking at them, how much they are growing up. I was able to get most of the laundry done Saturday as well, which meant Sunday would be a good family day.

Yesterday we brought the boys to a playground for a while.  It was so much fun. Christian is such a daredevil going down the big slides all by himself. He kept running around saying "again."  Zach on the other hand, all he wanted to do was run around. Seriously, this kid will be a runner.  This trip validates that I am just not able to bring them to the playground by myself until they get older.  One goes one way, and the other the opposite.  I feel bad because that is a downfall of being a MoM, is there are many things that I can't do alone, and I feel like the boys suffer for that.

Anyhow, back to the grind. I have a lot to get done this week as I am applying for a new internal job here at work!  Yikes.

Re: Good Morning

  • Good morning! We had a busy weekend with the bachelor and bachelorette parties. Both groups seemed to have a great time. I'm now completely exhausted and ready for another day off but that obviously won't happen. We're talking about going to see the Avengers tonight. Tomorrow morning I have an early morning seminar to attend so I don't think I'll be getting caught up on my sleep tonight either.

    Have a great day, ladies!

  • We had a pretty good weekend.  I love when Mark is home.

Saturday we went out to a local baby store and bought a Baby K'tan that I'm hoping will be easier to figure out than the Moby.  Madison seems to want to be held quite a bit and I'm hoping this will help me get some things done.  When I was there, I spoke to the owner about my breastfeeding struggles and she mentioned La Leche League.  I was well aware it existed but had looked and didn't see a local chaper on line.  Turns out, there is one and I called one of the leaders on Saturday out of desperation because I feel like Madison's latch is just getting worse and I can't keep her full.  She talked to me for an hour and I'm leaving in a few minutes to go over to her house and have her help me out.

Yesterday Madison and I drove ourselves out to DH's cousin's bridal shower.  I managed pretty well and was able to get the carseat in and out of the Journey and into the stroller.  I ended up with my bleeding starting back up last night but I'm not really much more sore so I'm going to drive us again today and see how I feel.

While we were at the shower, Mark cleaned the bathrooms, vacuumed and swiffered the house which was AWESOME.  The housework has fallen to the wayside since baby's arrival because I can't get much done during the day and then at night DH comes home, makes dinner and helps with Madison.

Alright, off to random strangers house for breastfeeding help!

  • katsblaze- I sorta get where your coming from. I have a hard time taking Jordan and Preston by myself to some places.Jordan is in to the bigger things wants to run and play on all that and Preston is more confinded to the smaller things and wants to do the bigger things so ends up mad. I feel like I did alot more with Jordan when he was younger than I have with preston.

The weekend was okay. Friday night we had baseball.

Saturday we went and did some shopping got new countertops I sorta like. Got a fridge and dishwasher I really like. Now if we could just find a stove. DH and I also got into a heated discussion saturday night after the boys went to bed and he really hurt my feelings. So I have tried to keep my distance since then until I get over it.

Sunday DH had to work thank goodness so the boys and I went and got groceries. Played in the little pool and did lots of cleaning and packing.

  • Good morning!

rxbeth, that's so great that you found a LLL near you. Hope the visit helps!

We had a great, busy weekend! On Saturday, we took Darian to the zoo. He loved it! His favourite were the polar bears, but really, he was just happy to look around at the other kids there too. We also went to a birthday party for three little girls turning 1. Oh my, too much cuteness for words!

Yesterday, we went to church, and then grocery shopping. It was a store we hadn't been to; they converted part of the old Maple Leaf Gardens (former home of the Toronto Maple Leafs) into a grocery store. For a grocery store, it's quite neat, it had a huge deli and canteen where we had lunch, and they even had singers to entertain shoppers.

Not sure what I'll be doing today. Possibly shopping!

  • Good morning. Weekend was pretty nice--pretty quiet overall, managed to get some workouts in and do a bit of writing. We also did some needed shopping, and I ended up with a nice new pair of flats in a soft gold. Sunday I met up with friends from my old job for brunch and we had a great time. I really miss them, especially since my current coworkers are kind of frosty. It was so much fun to catch up--we plan on doing it once every couple of months.

Now it's back to work, but since my stuff is low volume, it means keeping myself busy with other projects.

Hope everyone has a great day!

  • Morning everyone.  This weekend was meh.  Saturday, I was out at the mall with my mom and one of her friends, and someone stole my mom's wallet while we were eating lunch.  I feel so bad for her.  She was able to contact all her credit cards fairly quickly and so the thousands of dollars the people charged won't be her responsibility, but there were some other things in her wallet that have no outside value but are irreplaceable to her.  Yesterday, I relaxed and took care of some stuff around the house.  B and I planted our flower boxes for the summer, and finally ordered the glider for our nursery.  After work today, I'm off to a local knitting store to pick up some yarn and start making a baby blanket.  I found a pattern yesterday, but I'm not entirely sold on it, so I want to check out what they have in the store.

Hope everyone has a good day.

  • Good morning!

We have a bunch of standardized tests today, so it's quiet right now. I'm hopeful it'll continue to be that way! My grade 9s are supposed to be doing their clowning performances (that means whipped cream pie throwing!) last period, which has the potential for a whole lot of hilarity.

I have to go talk to the janitors about getting a mop and pail though for the clean up.

In other news, I had a minor freakout about the cost of auto insurance. Because Phil only just got his Canadian drivers license (although he's held a full British one for the last 15 years), and we haven't owned a car here, he's considered a brand new driver (and one without driving experience to boot!) and the insurance companies want to charge us 8000$ a year. I have NO idea how we're going to afford that with my crappy EI pay. =(

    Morning!

Today is going to be a bad day, I can tell already.

I had an appointment for a mammogram this morning at 8:40.  I got there at 8:25.  They finally took me at 9:40  - an hour late.  I was not a happy camper.  And I hadn't eaten anything yet, so I was starving which made me extra crabby.  I finally got to my office and ate at 10:45.  Now I am sitting in here with the door closed hoping that everyone just leaves me the eff alone so I can do work and go the the heck home.  I just don't want to talk to anyone until tomorrow.

  • Good morning!

I had a very productive weekend! Friday evening I went with MIL and her mom to Home Depot to get some flowers and we stopped by Sonic for dinner.

Saturday J and I started working in the yard at about 9:30am and didn't get done until almost 6:30pm. We pulled weeds, planted flowers, got the sprinkler system up and running, got the patio furniture out on the porch, plotted out the new deck area, mowed, and power washed. It was a long day but the yard looks great! Saturday night we met up with some friends for dinner and way to many drinks.

Sunday we slept in, ran some errands, cleaned the house, did laundry, went grocery shopping and finally at about 5:30 sat down and relaxed.
