Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Newbie! Hello!
MH and I are looking at houses to buy (just starting out). We have a baby due in June (he'll be here June 13th at the latest - that's his eviction notice date by the doctors!). Right now we live in a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment.
MH's uncle is a contractor so we're going to have MH (who works construction) and his uncle go look at the house first - then if its structurally sound, etc, then I'll go look at it (being this pregnant ... what would end up happening is I'd fall in love with it and be super upset if there was something wrong with it.)
The hope is to be in our new home by December of this year. (We have pretty lofty goals! LoL)
ETA: MH's coworker is also a real estate agent, so we will be working with her. MH trusts her to the nth degree, so I'm not worried about her pulling up houses that wouldn't meet what we're looking for, or would cause us troubles in the future.
