Re: Have you ever had a horrible first date?
Met a guy for coffee that I had met off Match. I got there (on time) and he had already gone through the line to get a drink which is a pet peeve. If I am on time, you can be nice and wait for me. So I stand in line for 15 minutes to get a drink and we finally sit down.
He talks about himself nonstop for 25 minutes where he admits that he lied to me over the phone. He had told me that he owned his own business but the real story is that he was unemployed and thinking about owning his own business.
He finally asks me about myself and I tell him that I like to golf. He proceeds to say "Yeah? I always thought golf was a f@g sport" and then made racist jokes about Tiger Woods....
Check, please!

Yes, we met online, and met up for a concert at some small venue. I can't remember who we saw but the bad company ruined the concert for me. He was boring and trollish and the chemistry was zero.
The worst part was to make it to this bad date, I had to cut short another date I had earlier in the day with a dude I had awesome chemistry with. That dude, alas, turned out to be married.
Fortunately I met my H only a couple of months later, saving me from more bad first dates.
OMG. How inappropriate and uncomfortable, lol.
Met a guy off of POF. We went to a movie and chinese, where he didn't pay for me; in fact, he looked at me expectantly when we got to the front of the movie line, like "well? You gonna pay or what?" I don't mind going dutch, but be gentlemanly about it for god's sake.
During chinese he wouldn't shut up about how much he is into video games, and whoever he was dating should be supportive of that. He plays about 6 hours a day, he told me with pride. And he won some sort of championship. As a gamer myself, I can understand playing for an hour or two a night. Making it your life, no.
Then he told me "oh yeah, I don't have a car and am staying with my friend's parents. You'll have to drive me to their house." I looked at him and asked if he was serious. He was.
I was chatting with a guy online, and we decided to meet up for drinks. He wanted to meet earlier than I could get there, but I couldn't get out of work early, so he ended up going there first and hanging out. I showed up, and when the waitress came by, I ordered a beer. When she brought the beer, he asked for the check. I thought, "ooook." I tried to make conversation, he gave monosyllabic answers. Finally, I just gave up. When she brought the check, I gave him a ten for my four dollar beer, and he said, "don't you have anything smaller?" I practically snapped at him and said, "don't you think I would have given it to you if I did?" So he reluctantly sat there while we waited for change. She came back with it, he got up and said "nice to meet you," and left.
Total length of date, including the time it took me to find a parking space and to walk to/from the bar? 21 minutes.
Met a guy at a restaurant that had totally lied on his dating profile.
Funky teeth, funky smell, funky all around. Proceeded to find out after five minutes he was just released from jail.
Uh, something suddenly came up. Gotta go!
