....does your H/FI/BF/SO/partner plan something special? Get you a gift? Or nothing at all? Do you give them suggestions/demands/a list of ideas? Do you go out? Stay at home? Make it a family gathering/BBQ?
Just curious because one of my sister's is very adamant every year that her H does not forget, buys her something expensive (she usually has it already picked out), and takes her out to some fancy, expensive brunch in a crowded restaurant. She constantly nags him about it, starting right after V-Day so he is sure not to forget.
I have a list that I keep for H to refer to when he wants to get me a gift, because he is a hopeless shopper (his words).
So, now I am done babbling..........what are your plans?
Re: Speaking of Mother's Day.......(for the Moms & Moms-to-be....)
We're going to Benihana's for dinner per my son's suggestion.
He'll pay for my dinner but I'm sure I'll be paying for DS#2 and #3's food. lol

We dont always do gifts but in general i expected to be honored in some way.
I sm not sure what we are doing. I havent decided, but h always makes it a nice day.
He usually gets me a gift, and we do brunch or dinner with our moms.
The only thing I ask him for is a card made by the girls. I mean, I'm their mom, not his, and for now a card is the best gift they can give me. I can't even remember what his gift to me was last year, but I do remember the "Why We Love Our Mommy" poem he wrote that the girls decorated with doodles and stickers. I loved it.
DS#2 has cleaned out my truck in lieu of a Mother's Day gift, but planting flowers is an AWESOME idea. It's still too cold at night to plant flowers, but I think I'll suggest that DS#2 & #3 do that as a Mother's Day gift when the time comes.

This is my first MD as a mom and I asked my H to have Merry Maids come clean the house.
I usually get my mom something small or meaningful, nothing expensive. I think my Dad gets her chocolates or flowers or something small, too. But, I'm close to my mom and see her at least once a week. She knows how much she means to me
