What does this all even mean?
1. Request our presence to celebrate their union- I'm taking this to mean they are going to be married prior and this is just a reception but I am not sure.
2. It is in Ocean City, NJ which is a dry town. Does this mean it is a dry event?
3. No dress code given- what should I wear?
4. Nor is there any mention of food at all
5 It's from 1-4 on a Sunday, no kids- I am not sure if this tells you anything at all about the type of event it is going to be
My parents were invited also(both of our last names were spelled wrong on the invitations, thank you very much) and we were both a bit wtf at the invitation wording.
I half joked with DH that we should go down early, grab breakfast and lay on the beach, get lunch, and then get dressed on our car and go to the wedding.
Re: s/o weddings-Invitation in today's mail
Nothing at all.
Daycare is SO exhausting!

strange....i'd say send a card and don't worry about it!
1. I have no idea. There's no wording to indicate separate ceremony and reception times?
2. Depending on the location, they should be able to bring alcohol in.
3. I would wear a more casual cocktail dress. No black.
4. See #1 and #5.
5. It may be an hors d'oeuvres and/or desserts-only reception.
The invitation says
X and Y Request our presence to celebrate their union
day
Time
Place
That is all.
I am thinking it must be a hors d'oeuvres reception.
