DH and I are going to DC this weekend for his birthday and I will be 22/23 weeks pregnant. I have planned our days that allow for a break to return to the hotel midday in case I need to nap, etc, but if I just feel like I need to take a sit down for a bit I'd like some recommendations of good places to do this (our hotel is in Rosslyn, so if I don't feel like I need the nap I'd rather not leave downtown). I'm looking for cafes, parks, anything like that where we would be able to sit for an hour or so if need be. TIA!

Re: DC...places to rest
Getting to and from a hotel in Rosslyn can eat up a decent amount of time. I think you're smart to try for simple breaks in DC during the day.
DC is a decent size area so without knowing exactly what you're planning, it's tough to make specific recommendations. However just about all the smithsonians have pretty decent cafes inside. DH can keep exploring while you grab a seat and a drink/snack. If the weather is decent and you're out looking at monuments/the mall/etc. there's usually tons of shaded park benches that are great for people watching.
The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden in right on the mall, lots of benches and seating plus a small cafe.
And of course, like most major cities, there's a coffee shop just about on every corner and on the weekends they aren't too jammed (although those close to the mall or at the Chinatown metro can be busy - especially if there's something going on at the Verizon Center).
Thanks for all the suggestions! I guess I should mention where we'll be....mostly in the area of the mall (American History Museum/monuments), but we'll also be up at the zoo and in the Chinatown area.
Chinatown area has a decent number of fast food type options. Not really a cute, unique cafe, but if you need a chair and a bite, Chipotle fits the bill. Also some really good restaurants in that area for a longer lunch.
The zoo area is rather hilly but again, lots of bench options and I think (been forever since I've been to the zoo) a few cafe type places you can duck in, sit, and grab a bite/drink while DH keeps exploring.
