We usually send flowers since our moms live too far away for us to visit on the actual holiday. I'm so over the flowers, such a rip-off. Since I haven't had a chance to get either of them a gift (or a card) I sent them those Shari's Berries chocolate dipped strawberries. I used that site one other time for a gift and I heard the berries were huge (TWSS) and yummy, so I figured "eh" may as well.
The site is having a special that if you spend $39, you'll receive 20% off your order. I also set the delivery to take place on Thurs/Fri to avoid the addtional weekend/holiday delivery charge.
Re: Mother's Day
Those strawberries are delicious!! MH got them for me a couple of months ago.
Thank you.

Oh, yeah. I'm sure I paid more than maybe I had to, but it was a great alternative since I was in a pinch. I sent 3 different gifts (one to each mom and another to S's grandmom), including shipping it was $91 (I searched high and low for a free shipping code, but ended up having to pay for standard). So $91 divided by 3 is about $30 per gift which is way better than what I would have spent on flowers and probably in the range of what I would spend if I actually went out to the mall or whereever to find each of them a gift.
... and edible gifts ROCK.
D's gma is also.
The strawberries are a great idea. I got some as a birthday gift a couple years ago and they were really good.
I have to pick up a gift for my MIL after work today. My mom just asked for an Outback gift card. She's easy lol.
