Re: I love my husband more than you love yours

  • I just shared this from you on FB. Such a good read, and so true.
I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.
  • I like it :)

     ETA: I love her title/tag line. :D

  • Thank you so much for this, I bookmarked it. I really needed this with being a new army wife whose husband is leaving for Basic Training this year. Smile

    Love this and so true!
  • This was great. It was exactly what I needed to read this morning.

I got through H going to Basic, MCT, and starting his MOS school with not one complaint to him, not one tear in front of him, and only a few when I was by myself. As soon as he got home on RA, I started having troubles. I still haven't complained, but my emotions have been on high alert and we have fought a lot, because he is chill and happy and grateful for the fact that we have had 3 weeks together that were unexpected and certainly not promised, and all I have been able to think about is that he will have to leave again, instead of enjoying this time. I've bitched a lot about my crazy work schedule, instead of going and then coming home and just being happy for what I have.

This article really reminded me that there will be a lot of worse times to come, but that I knew what I was signing up for, and that if I love my H, which I do, I'll suck it up and stop being a baby and enjoy the present and stop thinking about all the bad, because there is a lot of good.
