Know of a flat iron that will work on a cruise ship? My Chi didn't work last time...

Does anyone know of a flat iron that will work on a cruise ship?  The last few times I've cruised, my Chi iron wouldn't work in the room.  It would come on but never really heat up.  Does anyone know of one that will work in the rooms?  I was on the Oasis, so it wasn't like it was an old boat thing.

  • That's odd.  I assume you've tried this flat iron since you've been home and it still works?

I used my $30 remington flat iron from Target on our cruise last year and it was fine.

  • I've used my chi on seven or eight cruises the last few years and it's worked fine every time.

  • Did you plug it into the right plug? I know that sounds odd but sometimes I have seen plugs that are only meant for beard trimmers and people thing it is a full wattage outlet. It is soemthing cruise critic taught me.

Oh, and I have used my Sedu and my sister Chi on RCCL, Carnival, and NCL without problems.
