Re: NPCER: Hits & Misses at the Met Gala
And as a card-carrying member of the itty-bitty committee, I appreciate these women here for making me feel like I'm not alone
Debra Messing
Angela Chase....I mean, Claire Danes
Jennifer & Justin -
Justin is perfection. It's physically impossible to look bad in a Tom Ford tux.
And Jessica, oh, Jessica. The hair is too heavy, the shoes are completely wrong, the bag is weird. But that dress... I think it's beautiful, but the hem is really p!ssing me off. It's uneven, it's bubbly, but not in a fashion way, and the length isn't great. I know that's supposedly the "new length," but I don't like it.
January Jones - I like this on her
I like it, too. I just wish she didn't wear that necklace with it. It's turquoise, which just looks wrong with the yellow and burgundy. The simple hair & makeup do make the dress shine. The necklace is distracting from the dress as well.
Sincerely disliked:
Brooklyn Decker screamed Mother of the Bride:
Loved Alicia's hair and makeup, not the illusion of man bits:
Hated the lipstick and the wrinkly bondage dress:

Dress was fine, but the cape and lipstick need to go!:

Zuma Zoom
Claire Danes has such a long torso...I feel like she always wears dresses that make it look even longer. That bugs me about her.
I thought Kristen Stewart had bobby socks on with her heels at first glance. Ugh
How nice of whoeverthefuck this is to fly all the way from Transylvania for this event.

<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home DAm I the only one who liked Christiana Ricci in Thakoon? I feel like too many people played it safe and the Costume Gala is not the place for another dull column dress.
Why are Lily Collins and Kirsten Dunst dressed as women at least a decade older than they are?
I see that Beyonce is holding fast to not using designers or stylists. Her dress reminds me of an ice-skating costume gone wrong.
I loved this and thought it was super appropriate.
What in the MuthaEff is this about? It's like some vampire meets mushroom meets fug attire.
Beyonce looks like she's going to rip off the skirt part and do a gymnastics routine. Or a burlesque dance. She consistently has the absolute worst taste in style.
Kristen Stewart always looks like she needs to wash her hair, and that fug outfit isn't helping.
I hate that I like January Jones's look since I can't stand her.
And just to end on a positive, Kristen Bell looks ah-maz-balls.
I would have loved it if it didn't have the train. It's a bit overwhelming for her. I love the peach ruffle, I just wish that it weren't a train. Perhaps incorporated into the back of the dress like an obi a'la Renee Zellweiger's Oscar dress the year she won...
Suzanne Murphy
I stayed at her apartment (on 5th Ave overlooking the Met, coincidentally) when my uncle was dying last fall.
double post.
Transvylvania Girl was SNL's worst musical performance girl:

Anything you can achieve through hard work, you could also just buy.
Beyonce apparently wants everyone to know she has her pre-baby body back. Yay.
So this gala was to celebrate fashion? I like all the crazy creative ones, even if I don't like, like them. I only wish I had an opportunity to wear something so completely fun and unique. What a guest list though. Seems like literally everyone was there.
I like Jessica Biel's dress except for that hem. Looks like her seamstress just ran out of time and didn't press it.
I like Kristen Bell's for safe but wearable. She looked pretty and I loved the vibrant color. Going through the slide shows there were 3-4 other people in that same tangerine shade. Guess that's the in color this year.
My favorite kinda out-there dress was Marion Cotillard in the same colors as Beyonce, transparency too. But I think she pulled it off better. I can't PIP but http://www2.pictures.stylebistro.com/mp/FdPBMWoolSml.jpg
Hated Kirsten Dunst and Mary Kate Olsen. Ugh. I think Kristen Stewart got her invites mixed up and went to the gala instead her neighbors 80s party.
