*VABeach*

What area in Italy are you in? I knew you lived there, but I don't remember where. H and I are going to be in Rome May 17-20. Is that close to you?

Re: *VABeach*

  • I think she is in Naples. I only remember that because my h did his reserve two weeks there. Anyway I am not butting in for that reason. I actually had wanted to page her, too. I was curious - will you be coming back to DC or are you guys settling somewhere else?
Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.
  • Yup, bella Napoli :)!  About 1hr by train or  2-2.5hrs by car south of Rome. Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast/Capri are probably the most visited sites in this area, since downtown Naples gets a really bad wrap (semi unfair/ semi true).

Although, I'll be in Rome on the 18th (just a quick overnight though).  Going to see the Vatican Museum "under the stars"... I'm probably a sucker (obviously it's not like the ceiling of the Sistine chapel will literally be under the stars/moon), but wanted to go one last time.  Here's the link, if you're interested:  http://biglietteriamusei.vatican.va/musei/tickets/do?action=booking&codiceLivelloVisita=17&step=1

Have you been to Rome before?  If not, you're really in for a treat, it's a great city (if so, well, I'm sure it'll still be awesome!  I've been close enough to go quite a few times and I always find something new.)!

Hope that you guys have a wonderful trip!  Who knows, might see you at the Sistine Chapel :)!  Or out and about on the 18th-- I'll be the one with the beautiful English Setter in tow, sighing, and looking wistful about leaving.

MD--- heading back to the beach (VA), not DC, unfortunately.  While I was rooting for DC, jobs were in VAB, so back we go.  Not sure what we're going to do w/ the NoVA condo... I'm hoping to be able to hang on to it, but we'll see.  I'm supposed to call the finance folks mid-May, so probably try to do that next week between house guests!  Never a dull moment!

Looking forward to be closer to friends and family (my niece is starting AU in the fall, so that'll give me an excuse to DC-roap trip it).  But I will for sure miss a lot of things about Italy.

Most dreading the x-Atlantic flight with Lucy (our dog).  Flying with pets is obviously not super fun, but it really sucks mid-summer.  Prayer/hoping/begging for cool temps and little hassle for her vibes!
