Confessions

I really wanted a Rachel Ray EVOO carafe and have been mentioning it to DH for like a year.  Well he got me one for my birthday, but he had to order it from the US and paid about as much for shipping as for the product.  He got the Oil and Vinegar set for me.  While, after I opened them and was looking at them in the morning I had set them on our island and I knocked one off and it smashed on the floor.  I started crying.  

Confession:  DH called Amazon and told them that it arrived broken and they are sending me a new one.  It's actually not even worth their money to pay for us to ship back the one we have so we get to keep it too and I'll probably gift it to someone Embarrassed

    My confession: I'm just not feeling work today. I'm really tired and cranky so I closed my door to "pump" about 15 minutes early. They never bother me when the door is closed.

  • I started Jillian Michael's Body Revolution program and am on the 4th week. The first week, there's a pretty strict diet, and twice daily workout sessions. I got through that, and lost 3 lbs. The next week, you're able to eat more of a variety, and have a bunch of recipes to choose from, and only work out once a day (6 days a week). So, for the 2 weeks prior to this week, that's what I was doing. I wasn't losing any more weight, and last week I even saw a gain on the scale. That completely derailed my motivation, leading me to eat poorly over the weekend when we were visiting friends. I decided that I was going to get back on track this week, keeping some of the aspects of Jillian's food plan that I liked, but going back to counting points/calories and eating more of what I want to eat rather than what she tells me to eat.

    I did pretty well yesterday, but now today I am dying to go get a chicken wrap from my favorite place for lunch, rather than eating the healthy salad I packed. I haven't had one since before Christmas, and my "inner devil" keeps telling me that I was already bad this weekend, so what's one more day.

    Hang in there!  It is possible (and likely) that you started to put on more muscle, hence not seeing the scale move.

    Hang in there!  It is possible (and likely) that you started to put on more muscle, hence not seeing the scale move.   

    Thanks (I say as I bite into my chicken wrap--confession completed!)! I do agree, but I had been doing some of Jillian's other videos before I started these, so I wasn't expecting muscle to be a factor since I already had some. We'll see though!

    Are you getting ready to start your period?  I usually retain quite a bit of water right before and during.

    Nope! That was my first thought last week, too. But not until next week, so I think gaining/retaining water last week would be too early. And, if I keep eating badly, I'm going to keep seeing the gains. Got to get back on the wagon!
