mini clinique haul...& liquid foundation question
I swear I don't work for Clinique 
I picked up the new stay matte liquid foundation & the acne control clay mask to also help with oil control. I got a deluxe sample of the SPF 40 city block sunscreen and had the lady make me a sample of the BB cream, which I can't wait to try.
ok now to foundation....what works better for application...brush, beauty blender, fingers? what recs do you have...less $ the better

I prefer my fingers, but I have never used the beauty blender and I hear it is amazing!
If you use a cheap sponge, make sure to dampen it first. Pat on your foundation with the sponge, don't rub. Dab, pat, dot it into your face to work it in rather than just smear it around. It gives a nice dewey finish but it uses a lot of product which is why I prefer my fingers.
I want both of these things so I'll be looking for reviews from you

I would try the foundation without primer first to see if you're oil-free at the end of the day or night. I found that I still needed primer before my BB cream because my oil glands are uber strong.
I would use a foundation brush, look for synthetic bristles (not natural). It won't absorb the liquid foundation as much. I've used my Prescriptives flat foundation brush for well over 10 years and it's great to get into the nooks and crannies around my nose and eyes. I don't find it streaky at all.
I would not use my fingers, I found I used more product. Same for the traditional triangular makeup sponges. I've never used the Beauty Blender sponge but I've heard great things about it. I just prefer a skinny foundation brush since it's easy to pack when I travel.

I would think using your fingers would deliver the least natural or even finish because your fingers are uneven. I think a brush or sponge would be natural looking. I don't have a caked on foundation look to my makeup. I just use 2 little dots worth (smaller than a dime each) of foundation and blend with a brush. You have to play around with it to see what works best. Start off sparingly and add more, if needed.
I also find blending in a tiny dot or 2 of Benefit Moon Beam when I do my foundation dilutes it a bit while imparting a glow or dew-ish finish. But you don't need to do this.

I prefer my fingers for foundation application.
When you put on the BB, be sure your skin is very slightly damp. Otherwise, it will be hard to rub in. However, if it's too damp, it takes forever to rub in.
