Today I was scheduled for my first solo shift as a supervisor, I was supposed to go in at 3 and close the store. NBD. Then my phone rang at 0600, the store manager caught some sort of bug and was sick and asked me to come in ASAP. I threw myself together and went in. She left, I did my first solo shift. It was insanely busy, we had every pastry bought and had to restock the entire store. But I still managed to meet all requirements; even the paperwork. I bought my guys pizza for lunch b/c it was so crazy and I think they enjoyed the pick me up.
On my lunch, I got a call from the IST coordinator and he found a possible slot for me. I called the unit and they agreed to have me. They have two NCOs of my grade and MOS leaving so they'll be glad to have me. My paperwork is finally(a month later) moving forward.
That's for letting me AW. I needed a good day.
And I have just enough time for a nap before DH comes home from work.
Re: *fist pump*
Yay for the good news!
How are you feeling? Any improvement over the other day?
It's better, the tingling has mostly gone, just sore and stiff now. I took DH to the urgent care for his shoulder and spoke to the doctor who gave me the number for a nuero that he knows accepts our insurance so I called and scheduled for next week. He said if they want a referral I can go back in to see him officially and he'll give me one. Thanks for asking.
