Looking for a couple opinions/recommendations:
1. We would like to visit a mid-level $ steakhouse, and were thinking about Strip House at Planet Hollywood. Anyone been there? Reviews?
2. We're not foodies by any stretch, and most of the recommendations on here are usually a little too expensive for our taste. Any ideas of kitschy, mid-level American fare. One I have looked at is America at NYNY. Any reviews on that one, or recos along that line?
Re: Vegas Restaurants
I agree with the StripSteak recommendation. They usually have good prix fixe meals, and you can save even more with a restaurant.com gift certificate.
stripsteak -- mandalay bay
Here are some casual places you may enjoy:
I also like the pizza place on the floor of The Cosmopolitan with all of the restaurants. There's no signage -- just a hall lined with album covers. They sell whole pies and by the slice.
America at NY NY has really good breakfast, but I wouldn't recommend it for lunch or dinner. I think they serve breakfast fairly late (like noonish).
If you like Mexican, Diablo Cantina at Monte Carlo is really good and very reasonably priced. H and I both liked it a lot.
Ditto the StripSteak recommendations.
Sugar Factory and Serendipity 3 are mid-priced and have large menus of American food. BLT Burger at the Mirage is also pretty decent - I don't eat burgers so I can't speak to that, but I loved their spiked milkshakes
Mon Ami Gabi is also moderately priced and I love to sit on the patio to see the Bellagio Fountains.
I will also throw in another recommendation for Stripsteak.
I have an entry here in my travel blog on all the places we ate at while in Las Vegas in January.
