My MIL's weird lack of Prop 8 logic
So, my MIL voted yes on Prop 8.
But last night she told us that her hairdresser, this gay guy that she's been going to for years and just loves to death, got married the day before the election and how happy she was for him. And then my husband told her of another old friend that got married to her partner of 27 years over the summer, and she was happy for them too.
But, apparently for everyone else, gay marriage is wrong...? I really don't understand. It was midnight when we had this conversation, so neither my husband or I wanted to get into it with her. We just got in bed bewildered.
Should be an interesting few days...

my read shelf:
LOL! I had a couple of drinks last night with friends before she arrived, that could have helped my mood during this particular conversation. Good thing our fridge is stocked with wine.
Yes! Three weeks ago, she told my husband that marriage was between a man and a woman and she was happy it passed.
Truly bizarre.
I just don't have an answer to that...
my read shelf:
I dont know what to say...
Just count your blessings that you don't have a MIL who without fail generalizes and vocally demeans every single minority group.?
So what are you doing about the friend who's coming for dinner?
Yes, I must know if this "family friend" that's coming to dinner is the same wacko.
