I know, probably been on here before, but that search function never works for me. So, here we go, again. I REALLY need my carpet cleaned. I have two kids, 4 and 2, so the quick dry of Chem Dry is appealing. Along, with the 'safety' claim for the kids. However, my neighbor says she had them, and it looks great, initially. And, then, the same dirt spots come back up? What? Opinions? I steamed myself, once. Not good. I think I used too much solution/water and my house started to smell moldy. So, which is the better of the two evils? Thanks!
Re: Chem Dry vs. Steamer?
We own a Hoover Steam deep cleaner and I use it 3 to 4 times a year and it does a good job
AND
We have the carpets prof cleaned by Chem-Dry 3 times a year.
The Chem-Dry is far better than the steam cleaner, our carpets look great.
I do prefer the look and smell of the carpet after the chem-dry.
PS--I only use hot water with a splash of white vinegar when I use the Hoover.
