We?re trying to plan a trip for me & my husband, my parents & my brother, his wife & their (will be 2 ? yr old when we go) daughter.
We had originally talked about renting a house boat on Lake Powell but we?re just not convinced it?s worth the money. I?ve run the numbers & it would be about $3k/couple for 4 days/3 nights (that number includes everything, flights, rental car, the extra ?fun? boat, food, etc) It just seems like a lot of money for such a short vacation.
I?ve been playing around with the idea of a cruise since that has something for everything.
Does anyone have a cruise they?d recommend (b/c of the destinations &/or excursions that were offered).
Or does anyone have any ideas? We?re looking for something more exciting than say... renting a beach house & just sitting around for a week?
TIA
Re: Any ideas for a group/family vacation?
Not sure where you are but we are driving distance to TN so H and I, along with 3 other couples rented a cabin in the mountains in the Gatlinburg area. Although we rented a cabin, we will not be sitting around much. We will hike in the state par (to waterfalls), white water raft, possibly go to a waterpark and checkout both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg town areas. Probably do some goofy stuff like go carts and mini golf.
A cruise sounds fun though! My H wont do one, ever
We LOVE hiking but our family doesn't.
