I hate having to work on days like this.
Have you called Godwin? They put in our furnance. They were straight forward and told me what I needed. Their quote included everything.
I got a quote from Penning and the sales guys tried pulling "I'm your friend, don't tell my boss I told you this" pitch on me. He tried bonding over our Dyson vaccuum too. I also felt like they were nickle and diming me. Everything little thing was extra.
We've gotten quotes from Schaafsma, Jacobson, and G&J Heating and Cooling. These were all last year though. We do have Penning coming out June 2 for an estimate, but I play hard ball. If he's high, and if I think he's nickle and diming us, I'll tell him so and kick him out. Haha. The Schaafsma guy was ridiculous and was kind of a jerk when we flat out told him we're not spending $10k on replacement units. He was very unprofessional.
I'll add Godwin to my list to call.
I can feel your pain about the ac and furnace. Ours keeps breaking down in our apt every year. All they do is piece is back together instead of getting a new one that would be more efficient and cost effective on both our end and their end. Ugh.
Henry and I just got back from a farmer's market outing. I like the big, open avenue between the stalls, and aesthetically, it looks very nice. It's kind of a tight squeeze driving between the farmer's vehicles and the shoppers who are parked.
Henry remembers and really likes to talk to "Farmer Len." Today he gave him a little matchbox tractor. So sweet!
It is beautiful out today!! When I worked I was in a basement so I never saw outside - which was easier to just not know what I was missing.

We get our car back tomorrow! It will be nice to be back to two vehicles!! The dealership wasn't much help with offering to cover the costs. They offered to take it and look it over again and fix any other issues but they clearly didn't do it the first time so why should I trust them to do it this time. Oh well, at least its done and over with and we will still save $$ on gas/payments in the long run.
Hannah is napping so I am going to go sit outside and enjoy the sunshine!

I haven't been around in a while!
It's beautiful outside, the girls and I walked almost 2 miles around town today. So excited to live in a great neighborhood with sidewalks!
As for heating and cooling Westshore Heating and Cooling (www.wshac.com) are personal friends of mine. I have known the owner for years, he has done all the work on our previous house (we rent now), my parents house, and all my siblings houses. I know he gets pretty busy pretty quick, but he is a hard worker, and will do it right.
I am glad to finally be back, and hopefully post more now that I am home full time again, and things are starting to settle down!
