I'd put it in the same post, but let's face it-- the board is slow.
So, after I emailed the other contact I had with Quicken about the problems we had been having and how I needed our loan officer's supervisor's number, she forwarded my email to his director.
The director called me immediately upon receiving it, and we ended up having a 30 minute conversation (mostly me talking) about all of the frustrations I had been experiencing with our loan officer.
At one point I said, "Now, I'm not sure how long he has been doing this job, but it seems to me that it can't be very long because of the way he handles things."
The director responded with "He's been a mortgage banker for 4 months now."
Makes sense--- all of it, now.
So, he apologized profusely, and told me that he would get to the bottom of everything. He is going to listen to all of our conversations and read all of our emails back and fourth and find out where things went downhill. They said that they will offer him "additional job training, counseling, and shadowing"
So, no real answers yet, but I am way less frustrated after he called me. I felt like maybe it was ME. Like I was the one having too high of expectations. But apparently our loan officer has been doing most everything wrong.
