What do you guys think of this?

Obviously, everyone thinks sex crimes are terrible and everyone thinks safety of children is important. I think those are a given, but this still gives me pause. Not all sex crimes are created equally. I see a massive difference betsomeone public urination or even statuatory rape than say child molestation.  I think this law is a bit extreme in some situations.

What happens to the children of a sex offender? They're automatically put into the foster care system? What about children concieved and born after the person completed their sentence/responsibilities? How long does one remain on the registry?

Re: What do you guys think of this?

  • I agree, it needs to have more specific language. Not all sex crimes are created equal, at least in my opinion.

  • I don't think this bill is very logical. I agree with what you said about children of sex offenders and that not all sex offenders are created equal. I'm also curious about the statistics of children living with a sex offender and them being abused to support this bill. I understand that it might happen, but what is the actual percentage of registered sex offenders actually abusing minor children living with them?

OMG right? I'm so sick of her "faith, family, freedom it's all for the children" thing.

Whenever anyone says "it is what is best for..." or "it is all for..." it is usually something that is self serving. She is a disgrace and I am mortified she is a female.  This is why women have a hard time in business or anywhere - because of freak shows like her. And Hilary Clinton.

You're going to have to help me out on the similarities between Hillary and Fallin wrt impact on women's rights/workforce.
