PLEASE give me a suggestion for a romantical night away!!!

H and I loved Cedar Rock Inn in Tulsa. It's on the outskirts, so you don't feel like you're in town at all, but it's a quick drive to just about anywhere you want to go. Plus, it's not at all frilly--more rustic and man-friendly.

  • If you don't want to go too far from OKC, go to Echo Canyon Manor (echocanyonmanor.com). It's down by Sulphur. Very romantic.

If you're up for a drive, Lago Vista Bed and Breakfast (lagovistabedandbreakfast.com) in Beaver's Bend area was amazing. Amazing. Did I mention amazing?

  • DH and I have stayed at Whispering Pines and we loved it.  They have a restaurant that is FANTASTIC as well.
  • I'm not a B&B fan... If it were me, I'd want to just stay a night at the skirvin downtown or go up to Tulsa and to the Hard Rock... It's super fun!

  • I recognize that pic. I've seen in on their site before and made fun of it too! I actually really liked the Arcadian Inn. I'm not a fan of the traditional B&B (mingling with strangers early in the morning is not my thing), but they have separate cottages in the woods (up around Guthrie) and we stayed in one a couple of years ago. It was really cool. It was called Aaron's Gate and we stayed in The French Hen. It was really secluded and we didn't see anyone else the whole time we were there. They had breakfast food in the fridge with instructions on how to prepare it (waaaay better than the alternative IMO).

  • If you are desperate for a night away, I say, get on priceline name your own price, select the Knox-Northpark district, four star and start your bids at $80. Normally, DH and I are able to get the Palomar for this amount and it? Is fantastic.  We used to get a room in the city if we needed time away from home but honestly, I don't want to stay the night down the street from where I work and I think the Skirvin is overpriced and the service blows.

Get online, get a coupon for the Off Saks at the outlet mall and go buy yourself something pretty. Big Smile

  • We actually got a weekend at the Warwick Melrose from priceline for like $80 a night...but we will have the kids with us b/c we are having a mini vacay and taking them to Medieval Times, so womp, womp, womp for romance that weekend!
