Costa Rica hotel rec: Manuel Antonio area
I'm trying to find a hotel that has the best beach access in this area but Arenas del Mar is sold out (and a little pricey). Our budget is $150-200/night
Any suggestions? The maps are kind of confusing...TIA
Re: Costa Rica hotel rec: Manuel Antonio area
haven't stayed at any of these, but they look like nice options:
hotel parador
hotel como si no
hotel la mariposa
We stayed at Arenas del Mar, but our second choice would have been Buena Vista Villas/ Tulemar Bungalows. When are you going? It looks like they're under new management and raised the prices, but the bungalows are $195 during green season and the rooms are huge. http://www.buenavistaluxuryvillas.com/
Or if you're up for something different I think this small place looks neat, gets fantastic reviews on Trip Advisor, is affordable and right on the beach next to MA National Park. http://www.laposadajungle.com/
We stayed at Tulemar and had an amazing time.
Dave over at www.4Tulemar.com is on property and his staff helped us get all set up. We can't wait to go back! We did one night in a bungalow and 3 nights at Casa Panorama. Might be more than your budge allows but I didn't look at green season prices.
Good luck!
Hello,
My husband and I just got back last week from Costa Rica. We stayed at Los Altos Resort and it was absolutely gorgeous. The resort has 2 building that are all 3 bedroom condo's. The resort is only about 2 years old so everything is brand new and beautiful. Since this is technically rainy season, rates are lower. The place was $200 a night which included breakfast which was great since we realized food is a little pricey in Costa Rica, IMO. Los Altos has their own beach but we actualyl never went to it since we wanted to do the beaches in MA Park and did some other excursions during some days.
There is a grocery store right up the block so we went there for some snacks and food to keeo in the condo since it had a full kitchen with even cooking utensils and pots and pans. My husband was in absolute awe of the place and we definitely think it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at.
