London/Paris trip- which city to do first?
We are looking at doing an 8 night London/Paris trip in September. Is there any reason to pick one city over the other as the initial destination? Flight prices are the same.
And what would you recommend as the time split? 4 nights in each?
Thanks!
Re: London/Paris trip- which city to do first?
If you have never traveled to Europe before, I would choose London over Paris to begin your trip with. In London there is no language barrier so it would be slightly easier to adjust to versus starting in Paris. But really, starting in either would work!
Also, I think four nights in each is great. There are a ton of things to see in both cities so I think splitting your time is ideal.
Honestly, the "language barrier" in Paris is NOT a big deal. When I was there I think there was only one place I went - a little sandwich shop - where they didn't speak English. I learned a little bit of French before I went and so I don't know if that made a difference because they could tell I was trying, but I thought the people in Paris were lovely and I had no issues with language at all.
I would start in Paris simply because I thought Paris was way more fun that London, and I'd want to start out there with the most energy!
London - Paris is more relaxing.
