Critique my Tanzania safari itinerary
Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? All would be appreciated!
Day 1: Arrive in Arusha and transfer to hotel for the night.
Day 2: Drive to Longido and spend the day at a Maasai village.
Day 3: Visit water collection area for the village, lunch at camp, drive to Tarangire and arrive in time for dinner.
Day 4: Full day game drive in Tarangire with picnic lunch.
Day 5: Morning walking safari outside the park, afternoon game drive in the park.
Day 6: Drive to town of Mto Wa Mbu. Enjoy a local lunch and cultural tour of the town. Then drive to Ngorongoro Highlands for the evening.
Day 7: Drive into Ngorongoro Crater for full day game drive.
Day 8: Drive to (Central) Serengeti, visiting Olduvai Gorge en route. Arrive in time for dinner.
Day 9: Balloon safari over Serengeti followed by champagne brunch. Drive to Northern Serengeti.
Day 10: Full day game drive in Northern Seregeti.
Day 11: Full day game drive in Northern Serengeti.
Day 12: Fly to Zanzibar, transfer to hotel in Stone Town.
Day 13: Private walking tour of Stone Town, then transfer to new hotel on the beach.
Days 14 & 15: Hang out by the beach.
Day 16: Transfer to airport to start return flights home.
