What is your favorite Sangria recipe?

Re: What is your favorite Sangria recipe?

  • I got mine from the San Chez Restaurant cook book. I had to scale it down because it makes a huge amount. This makes about 2 quarts

4 Cups Burgundy Wine (House Red should work also)

    1 Cup Orange Juice

    1/4 Cup Triple Sec

    1/4 Cup Brandy

    12oz Guava Juice

    Sprite

Mix all together but Sprite. Pour mixer into glasses filled with ice. Top off with Sprite and enjoy.

I usually buy the large box of wine and then I'm usually covered for making with for the summer depending on how many people are drinking it.

  • This is going to sound super dorky...but I have just been buying the Boone's Farm Sangria and cutting up citrus fruit and throwing it all in a pitcher.  It is very yummy even though it is Boone's Farm.  Don't knock it until you try it.  HAHA:)

  • In a pitcher, mix 1/2 cup sugar, 1 cup oj, 11/2 cup of rum.  Add a thinly sliced orange, lime, and lemon.  Let it sit for a few hours, mashing the fruit every now and then.  Add a bottle of burgundy wine and chill.

  • I ended up buying a Sangria and dumping in a bunch of fruit and a splash of sprite..it irked out great..super easy and quick...I was on a tight schedule.
  • Mine is super easy and super good!  It's for white sangria.

1 bottle dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio)

1/4 cup Cointreau or triple sec

    1 bottle chilled club soda

sliced orange, peaches, strawberries, and white grapes.

Put sliced fruit into a large pitcher.  Add entire bottle of wine and orange liquer.  Cover and chill for a few hours.  When ready to serve, add the chilled club soda and stir to mix.

It's light and delicious (I personally don't like sangria made with a lot of extra sugar or booze, ie brandy) and for those who are conscious about it, it's pretty low calorie at only 3 weight watchers points per 6 oz serving  :)  It is my go-to for summer entertaining.
