How the heck do you decorate a toddler bedroom?
We're planning to keep DD in her room and converting her crib to a full sized bed to make it a "big girl" room (god help us) but her crib bedding and matching wall decor will be pillaged for the baby's nursery.
I found a colorful comforter (mostly aqua with pink, purple, and white) and matching valance Im going to get her and MAYBE a solid colored bedskirt (not sure about that until I see it all set up). Otherwise Im lost. I found a few ideas on Pinterest like paper lanterns, pennant banners, framed sayings/quotes etc.
Im thinking about the wall decals but wondering how hard they are to put on and take off--DH is a huge clean freak and will blow his top if the paint peels off with the decal or we have to scrape it off and knick the wall or something. HELP, Im bad at this.
Re: Q for the Moms (or design savvy)--Toddler Bedroom
Have you ever looked at ohdeedoh.com? They have some cute examples of bedrooms. While we didn't do too much decorating in O's room, we did just hang this (from Ikea) to hang his artwork. It looks really cute...we got the idea from ohdeedoh.

We also have fabric buntings/penants from etsy going across his windows b/c we just have the roller shades (no curtains/valences).
Those decals go on very easy, and come off with no bother. I have never had an issue with them damaging the walls.
To put them on, you peel off a protective layer and place the decal against the wall. They come with a plastic applicator, that more or less looks like a credit card, and you just rub it back and forth. Afterwards, you peel off the other protective layer and the decal is left on the wall. To remove, you just peel them off. If they stick, you can run a hairdryer over them. I've never had an issue.
You can find them cheap at Homegoods. Etsy has a boatload of really cute, custom ones.
