Still no baby :*-(

Sigh..still pregnant. This has not been fun. Mentally I completely melted down when they wanted to do the foley bulb after knowing the painful experience of others so they did cytotec overnight which only got me to 2cm and 70%. So now I have an epidural so they could put the foley bulb in & more pit and see if that jump starts anything. *fingers crossed* it is difficult with nurses changing because they all have different philosophies...one said I could do a csection if the bulb doesn't do anything which got me in a better place mentally and now this new one is dead set against that. Nothing about this has been easy...they even had a lot of trouble getting the epi in because of my back apparently being much more messed up than I realized. Awesome. I just want my baby in my arms today. :-/ Thanks so much for all of the vibes. <3 you girls

Re: Still no baby :*-(

  • Can you call your doctor instead of getting answers from nurses? If I were you at this point, I would be calling the office and having a chat with them. Good Luck. It will all be worth it. I hope the baby is here very very soon!

  • I agree with Krissy.. I'd have a chat with the dr. Maybe baby just isn't ready and you need to go home. Some rest in your own home might be just what you both need. I don't even know if they allow that though. I'm for a c section if needed, especially since I had one, but I'm also a firm believe in waiting until absolutely nessecary unless you or baby are in danger. Either way, I've been thinking about you all day and I'm praying for something to happen soon!!!

  • Ugh, I am so sorry lady. Maybe like Krissy said, you should ask to speak to your doctor if there's anything else they can do to help you or what they suggest doing. So sorry you are going through all this. Sending you tons of come on baby vibes!

  • This ob is against the csection right now too but will do it if the bulb doesn't work. Ian had a convo with her earlier.

I wish I could go home but no such luck!

  • Ugh, I'm so sorry you are having such a hard time! Sending lots of vibes that everything starts going more smoothly from here, and that the LL arrives ASAP!!!

  • I'm sorry this isn't easier for you. I hope things start picking up soon...lots of vibes heading your way. Is your epidural working at least? Try to stay positive...I know it's tough, but it will be very worth it once the LL is here!

  • Hopefully the bulb does the trick for you, although painful as I had no drugs when I had it I dialated to five centimeters with it and it started my contractions. Sending lots of thoughts and prayers that things start to pick up.

  • I'm sorry things are taking so long!  I guess that little one is just cozy and comfy in there.  It seems kinda funny to me (not in a haha way) that they don't want to do a C-section.  Seems like they always just jump to C-cections these days.  It probably is best not to have to have a section if you don't need one but I hope things speed up in progress for you.

  • Thinking of you!  I'm sure the waiting game is frustrating and probably not very comfortable.

  • The epi is working for sure. :)  after 4 damn tries to get it in, it better!

They are leaving the foley bulb is until it falls out..then will breakthrough water if it hasn't then if none of that works, it will be a csection.

  • Thanks for the update.. sending tons of vibes your way that things start to progress for you!
