Those of you who dieted, etc PP
What program did you use, if you used one? Or diet did you follow (if you followed one).
I didn't gain much with S (only 23 lbs) and all but one of them is gone. But I still have 30 of the 60 I gained with K. I don't necessarily want or need to lose all of it (I was borderline underweight before), but would like to try to lose some. My exercise time is somewhat limited for now because of work.
I'm thinking about WW....but not sure. Debating doing the couch to 5k in the future, but not so far.
Re: Those of you who dieted, etc PP
I did the couch to 5k and didn't notice any dramatic weight loss. I did feel better and more physically fit. I lost 35 of the 45 I gained just from EBF. However the last 8 pounds seem to be clinging to me for dear life. I still have another 10 to go from my ideal weight so 18 total.
I thought about weight watchers but my doc also thinks I have thyroid issues so we are waiting for more time to pass and hopefully if it is my thyroid I will be able to take meds and see if that helps in the weight loss dept.
My suggestion is to cut out all the crap. Nothing processed. And eat often at least 5 maybe 6 smaller meals a day to help keep your metabolism stoked. I should add that I also try to hit the gym as often as possible for minimum of 30 mins cardio.
Ive always had success on WW. However, ive been 100% by the book with it for 8 weeks and have only lost 8 lbs. Im not happy with that. I've been working out a ton too, so I should be better results.
On another one of my boards all the girls are doing one called Whole30 and having AMAZING results. There is a PDF I can send you. Im goign to start it June 1st. Its 30 days. I could SO do 30 days. LMK if you want me to send it to you.

Walking and eating smaller meals. I like you lost everything with the 2nd very quickly. I have 8 lbs that are killing me to lose, (13 to be pp weight but I too was underweight so I want to just lose 8). I did do 30 Shred in the beginning but lost interest quickly working with a TV.
Chasing the kids, and being active really helps, I walk a lot, and pushing the stroller helps. I don't have time for the gym at all with the kids. So that isn't an option.
Kendra316 I would be interested in the pdf also.
I should mention that a big issue is once im back at work in 2 weeks. I get minimal food period. Even pregnant would eat a yogurt on my way in at 6 and then not get to eat anything until 430 or so ("lunch"). Maybe they've ironed out the kinks since I've been out, but its been like that for the last 6 years so I doubt it. I like the idea of short cardio bursts.
In the last year or so I've lost 16lbs. I stopped drinking soda. This is probably the biggest factor to my weightloss. I try to watch what I eat. Make healthier choices. But ditto pp, running around after a 2 yo has helped. I walked a lot more before the winter and haven't gotten back into it yet.
There are days where I eat like crap, days where I have coffee for Bkfast or I forget to eat lunch. But overall it's making better choices. GL
I lost 65 pounds after baby#1 by just eating better ( no candy, baked goods, soda, etc...), walking 4 times per week with baby, and taking Zumba twice a week.
I've never been able to stick to any weight loss program.
definitely!
definitely!
definitely!
Last year i did WW and lost a bunch of weight. i also ran 3 miles a day/4 days a week. Im doing WW again right now and havent had the same results. (im not as strict, i guess). I think I am going to cancel my membership and just keep up with the running.
I would love it too if you dont mind! Ive been hearing good things about it.
can you send me the pdf?
right before i got married i had to seriously follow a diet/workout plan. i ordered a size 2 dress because i was thin at the fitting but gained some weight so i was determined to alter my body to the dress.
i did WW in combination to a workout called crossfit. i did crossfit at a crossfit gym for a little bit but it got pricey so i started doing it on my own.
i have also done dotfit (apex) diet which i saw a nutritionist. i was down to 14% body fat as well as 115lbs. however, i gained weight when coming off it.
Jess, I'm not much help since I actually weigh more now than I did this time last year...breastfeeding made me super skinny! But I am really trying to clean up my diet since I got into bad eating habits while pg and bf that if I keep up I will continue to gain weight back.
At one point I was about 10-15 pounds overweight (college) and I followed ww online. I liked it and it worked, but the one thing I didn't like is I felt like it was sometimes hard to eat the foods I wanted to (fruit, whole grains, etc) that were hlthy but still high in points. I felt like I ended up eating more artificial sweetener stuff and wasnt crazy about that. I think they've changed the point system though to incorporate fiber so maybe it's different now. I think if you are under 150 you are at the lowest points level so I guess that could b one reason people have stopped seeing results.
Kendra, could you send that to me too please? melissa_bressan@yahoo.com
Thanks!
Just sent it to everyone who left email addresses.
I tried pure protein diet (Dukan) and its SO SO SO hard. Too hard and im pretty good about at least starting off a diet on the right foot. No veggies is too hard.
