I have a mirena (low dose progestin only) and I have mixed feelings about it. I have almost no period (literally, I have a package of tampons that I bought in 2006). I do have some other issues which may or may not be related that aren't cool, but I do love love love that I can't mess this up. Mine expires in November, so I've had it for nearly five years now. I am going to switch to the pill when I have it removed because we expect to TTC in a year or so, but I would definitely consider getting a Mirena again.
There is no way that I would consider a Paraguard, but I have 10 day long horrific periods with no birth control, so I can't handle something that may make them longer/more painful.
