Key West, give me the scoop!
Just booked the Hyatt Beach House Resort (http://hyattbeachhouse.hyatt.com) in Key West for November, woohoo!! Please tell me all we need and want to know - where to go, where to eat, what to do...
Also, if you've been to this resort, what was your experience? Apparently, we can use the facilities at the 2 other Hyatts in KW as well.
Thank you!
Re: Key West, give me the scoop!

I have two detailed reviews, pics and video in the link above my siggy pic.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

EB - We are going to KW in a few weeks - Fourth of July. Can't wait. We were debating strongly btwn the Hyatt and the Southernmost on the Beach - you'll have to let me know how the Hyatt is for a future trip
We are flying into FLL and making the drive down through the keys and flying home straight from EYW.
I have been there once before on a cruise stop, but all we did was bar hop. We are excited but have so much going on that we haven't really planned anything so I will be stalking this thread.
Awesome! Well, there's 3 Hyatt's in KW, and the one we're staying at isn't in town, it's on the other side. Traded our timeshare for this Hyatt so didn't have much choice for location, although it does look pretty nice. We've never been so I'd LOVE to hear all about your July 4th vacay there, that Southernmost OTB looks divine!!
p.s. I think we're going to fly in and out of Miami...is that a good plan?
Oh, i see - that Hyatt looks really nice too!
flying from Miami sounds like a better plan than flying into FLL. We have free Air Tran vouchers and with all of AirTran's July 4 holiday blackouts/rules we had to settle for flying into FLL. it's a PITA to use their vouchers! I am excited for the drive though - I have read it sucks to drive back to the mainland, but they drive down is great. I have seriously done NO research for this trip, which is very unlike me.
I will post a review when I get back!
Oh man, is it really 3.5 freaking hours?? Dannngggg!! Who's the one that told me it was only 1.5 hours?? argh!!! See, I don't know jack about this, lol. Okay, that is definitely going to suck bigtime...hmmm, so how can we make this better? Well, we're just going to have to extend the vacay then to make up for the craptastic drive back - gotta stay a couple days in Miami or somewhere around there before we head home - yes, that's the perfect solution! aha!

we went in April. We did the day trip over to the Dry Tortugas on the Yankee Freedom catamaran one day. We had dinner one night at a restaurant called Cafe Sol and omg....the Hog Snapper (special of the house) was probably one of the most delicious meals I have ever had in my life. We also at at the Conch Republic which is a touristy kind of place near the pier. Food was pretty good, pricey from what I remember.
I was a little surprised at Key West, there were some typical bright colored cottages but a lot of areas are pretty run down. We went with my inlaws, my husband and our two girls. I would much rather go with either just my husband or with another couple. Duvall Street is definitely one big party, not entirely appropriate for my little ones when we were walking around at night.
Thanks for the review
We havent been yet(planning on going in Jan) but have heard the drive is beautiful but LONG - it took my GF over 4 hours to get down there from Miami the last two times she went(with no stopping). We're taking the Key West Express (fast boat that takes a couple hours)from FMB since we'll be in that area visiting my parents.
Eventually we'd like to drive down and check out all the keys.
