Re: Friday Randoms
Working in the office today after about a week of vacation plus an offsite training. Luckily it's raining so I'm not too disappointed about having to be in the office all day.
I have never been to Festival. Part of me thinks I should go, but the other part really hates crowds.
Actually it is pretty common. It is how they make their money - by selling photo packages. In return they don't charge the church or members for the printed directory. It is companies like Olan Mills - so for a mere $40 you can get an 8x10 (I'm not sure on the actual cost)
Good Morning!
I'm working on Friday for the first time in months due to the holiday. I agree with Wendy that the rain and cold make it feel not so bad to be at work.
Our team won trivia last night! We were tied after the final question and had to go into a tiebreaker and somehow managed a win. :-)
Morning all! I would really like it to stop raining and warm up - it is June afterall! At least our grass is getting watered.
I am very tired today. Hannah was up several times in the night. She was crabby in general all day yesterday and so far today also. I am thinking that she might be teething again...oh joy!
Oh yeah, I'm sure it's me just not knowing - there wasn't a directory at my parents church, and the one we attend now hasn't done one for 5 years or so.
Juli, great job on trivia last night!
Wendy, this evening would be a good time for you to try out festival. I'm sure the rain will keep the droves away.
How did you parents ever survive without a church directory!! When they had prayer requests and your parents didn't recongize the name, how they know who they were talking about. hee hee. That would be one of the first things my dad would do after getting home from church - look at the directory in relation with the announcements in the bulletion (how do you spell that).

Good morning!
The cat peed in DS's bathtub last night.
It shouldn't be hard to clean out, but he also got a washcloth and the sling. I have no idea how I'm going to get those clean. We may just end up calling those a loss.
I really do not want to do anything today. Which sucks, because the house really needs to be cleaned.
On the plus side of things, MH and I had ourselves a movie night last night and I finally got to see Super 8. It was awesome!
Pookie, can the washcloth and sling just go in the washing machine?
GVSU, that'as funny about your dad. My parents' church is really big. I'd imagine that trying to get all of those families scheduled would be nearly impossible. They'd spend a year taking family photos, and then by the time the book was ready to be published, those good Catholic families would have new babies.
Morning ladies!
Random question: Has there ever been a male poster?
Anyway, I'm at the school today, I have a bar prep class at 1:30, so I thought I'd spend the day in the library doing my other studies. An exciting life I lead. I can see the jealousy on your faces.
Might go to the Art thingy this weekend if it's not cold or rainy.
Random question 2: As anyone done those swing lessons in the park? Looks interesting. Maybe I'll see if B is interested, put on my protective gear (helmet included) and go one day.
On the GR board? I don't know. There are a few men (2 I think) on the D&R board.
Bahahaha, I totally forgot about that dude.
Hi, friends.
Pookie, I hope your cat is feeling okay! Mine peed in the tub when she had a urinary tract infection. Do you have any of the Nature's Miracle products to try to save what he peed on?
GRSP, the cat pee smell is REALLY hard to get out of stuff -- and standard laundry detergent doesn't do it. I'm still bitter about a really nice blanket from Mexico that we lost thanks to Jinx's errant peeing, and before I discovered Nature's Miracle.
I haven't posted in the randoms for a week or too. But cat pee brings me out of hiding. :-)
Oh, and my parents' church used to do the photo directories. My parents bought the photos a couple of times too, and they're still hanging around the house.
GRSP; No, the sling can't be put in the washer. I have both that and the washcloth soaking in the regular bathtub, and I'll see if I can salvage them later on today.
Kasa: Thanks for the concern. I think he's feeling ok. He's still eating and acting normal. He got locked in the bathroom for a while last night, so I think he may have just really had to go.
It also looks like DS has a milk allergy. What's odd is that he won't show any sings of an allergy the first time he has something (mac n cheese, yogurt, milk) but he will the second time. I'm not entirely sure what to make of it yet, but I'll talk to his doctor at his next appointment in a few weeks.
DH and I were going to go to the festival today, but didn't wanna be out in the rain. We got take out and are hanging out at home with DD.
Dd is dairy allergic. She did not respond to it much in my diet when I was BF, but I didn't eat a lot of dairy then anyway. When we tried to switch to cows milk, it was pretty obvious.....projectile vomiting within minutes of drinking it. She now has an epipen at home and at daycare. I hope it is a mild allergy and short lived.
This is the first free weekend we have had in a month and I am planning nothing.
I'm allergic to milk also. As a kid I wasn't able to have the milk at school it would make me sick. I was able to tolerate skim milk though. Have you tried soy milk?
