... and we haven't mentioned it at all here. For you new to GR folks, you MUST go check this out. http://www.festivalgr.org/
I think we'll go after my class on Saturday, and again on Sunday.
What is a must see/do for you every year? How about an act this year that you can't miss?

Re: Festival starts today!
We will go first thing thing on Sunday. I actually wished they started at 10 so we could get a head start. We will do some kids activities and watch maybe one act.
I don't spend too much time watching the entertainment. I always have bad timing and having acts that I have no interest in going on at the same time or catch an act that the very end. I haven't been wowed by an act since probably 1999 or 2000 when the CMU's percussion group would close the show on Friday night. I would always search the program for the group but never saw them. I did a Google search a while back and discovered the band director died from cancer.
There's an act in the program that boasts, "we have a tight set with no banter." Hee hee.
CMU's percussion line is terrific. That's sad about the former director. I found out that my old director at GVSU died suddenly a few years after I graduated. So sad.
Kevin K and his puppets will perform on Sunday twice. We'll be there for one, at least. And WaZoBia is Sunday, too. I missed it last year, and hope to see it this year.
I just call a call from Willa's ballet teacher. An email on Monday bounced back to her. Willa's going to dance tomorrow morning. This mama is skipping an hour of class to go watch her 6 year old.
We usually go to Festival on opening night. This year we're not doing that since Brielle has rehearsal for her recital tomorrow. We plan on going Sunday. I'm not sure what we'll watch as I haven't looked at the schedule. Looks like we may see a few people down there!
Amy tell Willa to "break a leg"! How exciting for her (and you)!
Good Luck Willa!!!!
I think we will head out Saturday night to see the closing band on the Calder. It's a Irish band that we are familiar with.
I hope Bri (and you) have fun at the recital tomorrow, MissyNa.
I think we've got everything covered now so she can actually do it. Grandpa is taking her to practice tonight with Henry. Jim will be home in time to take her to Festival tomorrow, and I think I'll miss an hour of class just fine.
Yeah, you will!! So exciting. I hope she has a great time!
