Who negotiates after the inspection
Had the inspection last wed., which showed the house has some major things and some minor things. Mainly the roof, chimeny and sidewalk. We just got the contract today and the inspectors report yesterday. Who negotiates to get those things on the list to be fixed/paid for? The attorneys or the realtors? I know that sounds dumb im just trying to be prepared for the next step,
Also, is it possible for a realtor who you have been working with, all of a sudden be representing the seller and not tell you?
Re: Who negotiates after the inspection
You will negotiate through your realtor. If your realtor is representing the buyer and the seller then he would have been the entire time. He should have told you this if that were true but it doesn't mean that he did.
Well, it isn't in your best interest to have a realtor that is representing both the buyer and the seller. Especially if they haven't told you about it, that sounds really shady to me.
Our realtor negotiated with our sellers after our home inspection - found out we had a radon problem, so they had to pay a nice chunk of change to have a filtration system installed.
Your realtor sounds pretty shady.
Our realtor negotiated for us.
