Kitchen reno update.

Well - we took a month off while we waited for my bonus to come in and have the cash on hand we needed to get moving again.  Today, we finished the drywall.  Huge accomplishment and one of the last big hurdles.  We have about 2 weeks of downtime ahead of us while we wait for our plaster repair guy to get back from a fishing trip and then 4 days of work for him before we can start the floor tile.  After that - cabinets!  Here are some pics.

  This is why it took so long!  Our dog kept sitting on the drywall sheets we were working on.  :)

 

   DH putting the finishing touches on the piece above the door.  You can see where the old wall was.  That is where the plaster guy is going to be spending some quality time!

    For sure!  And taking out the wall makes it feel much more open too. I'm dying to get my house back though so cabinet install can't come fast enough!
