What a long trip! **added pics**
Well we finally made it back from our trip to the Dominican. We went there for our friends wedding if you remember. It was such a beautiful resort! The water was a really pretty green/blue that went on forever, and was the temp of a very warm bath. The pools were all so pretty as well and the rooms were amazing. We had a really great time.
The wedding was very beautiful and we were so happy to be a part of it. Both the bride and groom are our friends and it was wonderful to watch them become husband and wife. :-)
The only crummy thing was that we got stuck for FOUR extra nights. As you know we fly standby, which is cheap if not free, and has always worked very well for us the past 6 years....Until this trip. We COULD NOT get OUT! We wanted to leave on sunday and we stuck until Thursday. We finally walked in our front door at 2:00am yesterday morning. Luckily we were sharing rooms with other standby friends so the cost was much lower than it would have been and since it was all inclusive we didn't have to worry about food or anything.
It was a nice place to be stuck though lol. Even so I'm glad to be home.

I would love to go back,.... But not for a long time lol. The resort was amazing but when we travel, especially out of the country, we explore everything we can while there. We didn't really have that option with staying in a resort. Not only are you kind of trapped there but we already paid for everything so going off would have been more money. We'll go back someday and explore the whole island. ... Well not Haiti, but the rest of it.
I recommend learning some Spanish before you go. We picked up lot really quickly but would have been nice to know more going in.
