First Time Cruise and Bermuda Recs!

Hi Ladies!

I booked my first cruise to Bermuda for next month and I was hoping to hear any suggestions or recs that might help.  I've been trying to explore around the CruiseCritic site for some ideas on what to bring, but I was also hoping to see if anyone had any suggestions on stuff to do in Bermuda.  I think our cruise ship will be docked at King's Wharf.  I've already been warned not to rent the mopeds and just stick with taxis or the public transit.

Thanks!

Re: First Time Cruise and Bermuda Recs!

  • I have not been to Bermuda, but your cruise line should be able to provide you with nearby activities or excursions. I have always cruised on Carnival so im not sure of other cruise lines.

We cruised for my honeymoon and our two ports were key west and cozumel. We did a REALLY fun excursion at cozumel but for key west we got off the ship and shopped for maybe 2 hours? Then we came back and spent the day on the ship. It was actually great because everybody is off the ship its not crowded by the pool or anywhere for that matter!

    Have fun!

  • We just did a Carnival cruise to Bermuda and docked in King's Wharf too.  It was our first cruise and we enjoyed it.  I wouldn't recommend the excursions through the cruise line, too expensive.  We took the ferry to Hamilton the first day and explored there, which was fun.  We also took the ferry to St. George, which is a great little town.  We took the bus to Horseshoe Bay, which had an amazing pink sand beach.  So, no taxis for us and that was just fine.  At King's Wharf there is a little beach, so nice to relax there without having to go anywhere too.  Enjoy!
