What is something you're passionate about?
We all have our "thing." What is the thing that you're passionate about? Saving money? God/your religion? Particular political groups? Gay marriage? Pro-choice/pro-life? Healthy eating? Fitness? Home decorating?
Re: What is something you're passionate about?
Accounting, lol.
I'm passionate about civil rights in general (LGBT, women's rights, ethnic minority rights, etc.) I had the very best sociology/government teacher in high school and he was always challenging us (kindly) to examine our own prejudices and take it back to the level of the law. In his classroom, "Because I feel like it" or "Because that's what my parents/pastor/fortune teller told me" was never a good enough reason to deny someone rights. He was always happy to accept our answers IF we defended them legally. That said, there aren't many constitutional defenses for discrimination.
Funny... I was just updating my LinkedIn profile earlier, and I had to examine this side of myself a bit for the volunteering section.
