DH and I just found out we are expecting. We went to the doctors office today and confirmed it. We are 7 weeks with an approximate due date in mid January. We are excited! And a little nervous...any advice?

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermCongratulations. :-) The only advice I can think of right now, is to drink tons of water. Like, when you think you're floating and have never had so much water in your life, drink more. lol I have an app for my phone that I used when I was pg, to help keep track of my water intake. I'm a horrible water drinker, so it really helped a ton.
I'm on CD6 of the first cycle since my miscarriage, so we'll get to start trying again in about a week. I'm excited. Maybe we'll have close due dates. :-)
Missing our little turkey.
Estimated Due Date 11/13/12 | Natural Miscarriage 4/17/12
Congratulations! How very exciting for you!
Advice for the first trimester: Always have something to eat nearby. I never actually got sick, but there were moments where I had to eat something NOW or I was going to throw up. Getting something in my stomach did the trick. Unfortunately this problem has resurfaced for me in the third trimester, but eating still calms it down.
The drinking lots of water advice is good too. Get in the habit now, drinking a lot will help prevent swelling toward the end (although in the winter it shouldn't be so bad).
I think the best thing I have done for myself this pregnancy is exercise on a fairly consistent basis. Exercise too is supposed to help swelling, but it also helps fatigue, prevents excessive weight gain, and is supposed to make delivery and recovery easier (I can't speak for that yet).
These are just a few things that helped me, every pregnancy is different though! Good luck!!!!
