Changing Bed Linens

Every Saturday morning, I strip the beds and wash all the bed linen.  When do you do yours?  It is the one task I don't care for, but I love the feeling of clean sheets every Saturday night.

Re: Changing Bed Linens

  • We wash our sheets every weekend, Sat or sunday, just depends on how busy we are.

  • DH gets sweaty in his sleep so I wash them twice a week and the comforter once a week. It's a PIA but I do love a nice crisp sheet!

  • When I remember, once a week.

Once in a while it occurs to me that I haven't changed the sheets in quite a while.  Such is life with two young children and mommy brain. Embarrassed

  • Weekly...usually a Sunday morning activity so a good Sunday nights sleep on clean sheets. I am SO grossed out by people that dont wash their linens often by saying they are clean because they "shower before bed" or are just "not dirty people" so they dont need to wash their sheets often. Eeeks!
  • I'm with everyone else-weekly.

Same here, every Friday morning. I love to sleep in on the weekend in clean sheets!!
  • I do them every other weekend. We have 2 sets, though, so I'm leaning towards trying to do them every week. But then I'll have 1 set sitting in a laundry basket for a week. Hmm...

  • Every two weeks, especially in the winter when we sleep in jammies anyway. In the summer when we're more skin-to-sheet and all sweaty, weekly.
  • it depends... sometimes I change it twice a week

Once a week if I got time.

  • I should preface this by saying that I have an insanely colorful and ridiculously organized Google calendar that I'm actually quite embarrassed of.

I change my sheets once every 7-8 days, wash my mattress pad/blankets once every 30 days, and dry-clean my quilt once or twice a year.  I update my Google calendar when I do this and set reminders for myself so I don't forget.

Other chores I schedule: changing toothbrushes, furnace filters, running the dishwasher, mailing birthday cards, cleaning refrigerator, etc.

I'm intrigued, where do you find the google calendar? I am meticulous about changing sheets, the mattress pad and buying new toothbrushes but terrible at the birthday cards and cleaning the refrigerator Embarrassed

  • Hi there csavery =)

I have a Gmail account for my e-mail, so I use it through there (and on my Android phone, which is definitely convenient).  Try this link to get one started:

I'm fairly sure you don't need to have an e-mail account with Google in order to have a Google calendar.  What I like about their calendar is that you can set reminders for events, as well as color-code different types of events.  Hope this helps!  =)
